| Personal Statement:I have have tutored students with learning disabilities, poor reading comprehension, and students with English as a second language. I believe that you do not have to be "smart" to be brilliant. I am a graduate of Thomas Aquinas College. While there I read the “Great Books” of Western Civilization and discussed them with other students in small seminar classes. The curriculum was an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to learning. I use what I learned there to listen to my students, ask questions, and approach the subject in a way that they can best understand. I also have a background in Music and Art, and completed one year of postgraduate study in Theology. | |||
